I’m from Poland but I have a second home as well – India. If you don’t find me in any of these two, it means that I’m travelling and most probably indulging in one of my passions: yoga, photography or rock climbing.
Over few months in 2014 I was teaching ashtanga yoga and climbing in Switzerland. I moved there straight after my trip to India, and that was a culture shock to me. These countries are extremely differenton every level. But somehow, I love them both.
And then recently, I came from India and Nepal to California. Again so different countries, again so inspiring and beautiful. World is an amazing place.
As long as I do what I love, I feel I am at home.
I studied cross-cultural studies and maybe that’s what developed my will to travel and get to know other cultures. Or maybe it developed because of my grandfather, who was travelling all his life. Or thanks to my mum, who always encouraged me to listen to my inner voice.
I am a yoga teacher and a photographer.
I have begun practising ashtanga yoga in 2005 and straight after the first class it became my daily routine. In 2006 I have already been in India where I have been studying yoga ever since.
Since 2012 I have been returning to KPJAYI to practise with Sharath Jois Rangaswamy who is my main and beloved teacher. I was also honoured to receive his blessing in January 2014 and I was given the authorization Level 1 to teach Primary Series as taught by the KPJAYI. I was assisting in Shala during my study there in 2015 and 2016.
As a result I began to teach ashtanga yoga in its traditional way in yoga studios, in companies, and also in private lessons and in prison, where I was running a special yoga program for female inmates.
My mother passed away 3 years ago and it deveoloped my need to help patients suffering from cancer. Apart from inroducing asana and meditation practice to them, I also started to study Carl Simonton program for a more holistic approach.
I teach what I learned and experienced myself over these years. Yoga not only calms me down but also it makes me face my fears and limitations. It is an amazing practice that gives me opportunity to heal, observe myself and to get to know myself better.
I am also happy I can combine this passion for yoga with my passion for photography as I take pictures of yoga practicioners from all over the world. I am a professional photographer and I focus on portraits, fashion, music and lifestyle photography. I catch in frames emotions, beauty and truth. I found this to be the best way to express who I am, what I see and where my mind goes while observing the the life.
I live a healthy lifestyle and I prepare my own food, using mostly vegan and gluten free products. I have just learnt a word that descrbies my eating habits best- Swiss Vegan. I love chocolate, cheese from time to time and drink Rivella while in mountains.
I also love life on the road and I don’t mind waking up early.
I like to have plans. And I like to change them.
I can honestly say I am a happy person. I love a man who loves me back. I have a few true
friends. I constantly meet amazing and inspiring people. I do what I love to do. And I am free.
